Simply Great.

So often it is a difficult situation to provide a service for friends and family because there is this awkward moment when it comes to compensation for a job. There are times when I don't want to ask for money, but find it necessary to keep my business going. I truly appreciate the Heimers and their ability to show me how much they appreciate my services. They make me feel important, and I really need that sometimes. =)

Max is near and dear to my heart. This little guy is just as wonderful as his mommy and daddy (he had some big shoes to fill in that department). I truly enjoyed his session.  This family is simply great.

Maryanne and Jason

Another great couple!  This shoot was a lot of fun for me because Jason decided to take us to a new place (not generally used for photo shoots) and we came away with some timeless shots.  Maryanne was quite the model and seemed so comfortable in front of the camera. Thanks to both of you for a great session.  Hope you enjoy the preview. =)

-Gotta love the Dead End sign...funny stuff.

Corbyn is 2!! Little sister is coming soon...

Loved this shoot. Beautiful light, adorable subject, and cute parents to boot!  I hope you all enjoy these as much as I do.
Stay tuned for little baby girls pics in just a few months!  (I am naming her Callie!)

Centralia!

If Brad and I had to move, we would seriously consider Centralia, MO.  This awesome family is one of many in this area, and we always enjoy ourselves when we are there.  It helps too, that one of my sister in laws (and brother in law) live there also.   Great town.   'nuff said.

The Genebacher Family

Great Family, Great Images!!! Love this session. I wish I could share all of them with you, but I have to save some for the family to show off.  These kids listened really well, and it made our session run smoothly. Thanks G Family!

Lucas - Pleasant Plains Senior 2011

Lucas is REALLY tall.  I usually feel pretty short compared to other people (unless I am photographing children under 5) =), but I felt especially short with this one.  Lucas is a basketball star at Pleasant Plains High school and he has the height to prove it!  Good luck in the coming year, Lucas.  Enjoy the preview.

Dan - Pleasant Plains Senior 2011

What a great kid.  Dan was a joy to photograph. It is rare that you find a senior boy that is enthusiastic about getting his picture taken, but Dan was a trooper.  He is not only a cutie, but a sports stud, too!! Go get him girls!! This one is a great catch! =)

"Baby Wexa" (A.K.A - Alexa)

Alexa (or baby Wexa as my kids call her) is 18 months old.  She has grown quite a bit in 18 months.  This little chunker started out at 5 pounds.  I think it is safe to say that she likes her food.

We love Alexa and her awesome family.  Thanks for being great friends!!

MBR Headshots

MBR is a thriving business in quincy.  Growing from 17 employees to 40!  Go MBR!  Great group, not surprising that they are doing well.  Great job. Keep up the good work.

Nature walk...

I have been encouraged by several veteran photographers to shoot things that I don't normally shoot. This is supposed to help me grow and see different things through the lens.  I hadn't done that up until this point because the thought of shooting nature kind of intimidated me. I was worried that I wouldn't be able to produce the quality images that I have produced with subjects. I have seen so many amazing nature images from fellow photogs. and was concerned that I wouldn't measure up...I finally decided that it didn't matter.
My girls and I went on a nature walk with my camera and they helped me to thoroughly enjoy seeing new things. I couldn't have done it without them...Ava found the leaf!  They both loved jumping in the mud puddles and dancing in the sprinkles.  We had a blast.
