So often it is a difficult situation to provide a service for friends and family because there is this awkward moment when it comes to compensation for a job. There are times when I don't want to ask for money, but find it necessary to keep my business going. I truly appreciate the Heimers and their ability to show me how much they appreciate my services. They make me feel important, and I really need that sometimes. =)

Simply Great.
Maryanne and Jason
Another great couple! This shoot was a lot of fun for me because Jason decided to take us to a new place (not generally used for photo shoots) and we came away with some timeless shots. Maryanne was quite the model and seemed so comfortable in front of the camera. Thanks to both of you for a great session. Hope you enjoy the preview. =)

The Genebacher Family
Lucas - Pleasant Plains Senior 2011
Lucas is REALLY tall. I usually feel pretty short compared to other people (unless I am photographing children under 5) =), but I felt especially short with this one. Lucas is a basketball star at Pleasant Plains High school and he has the height to prove it! Good luck in the coming year, Lucas. Enjoy the preview.

"Baby Wexa" (A.K.A - Alexa)
MBR Headshots
Nature walk...
I have been encouraged by several veteran photographers to shoot things that I don't normally shoot. This is supposed to help me grow and see different things through the lens. I hadn't done that up until this point because the thought of shooting nature kind of intimidated me. I was worried that I wouldn't be able to produce the quality images that I have produced with subjects. I have seen so many amazing nature images from fellow photogs. and was concerned that I wouldn't measure up...I finally decided that it didn't matter.
My girls and I went on a nature walk with my camera and they helped me to thoroughly enjoy seeing new things. I couldn't have done it without them...Ava found the leaf! They both loved jumping in the mud puddles and dancing in the sprinkles. We had a blast.
