Christmas Magic.
There is such a thing as Christmas Magic. You may not call it by that name, but it's obvious to all of us. You've felt it, you've seen it, and you've even come to count on it. It's at this time of year that we get to see smiles on faces. We get to see good being done all over the world; New toys to children who don't have any, new homes to families who are struggling, even hospital visits for those who don't normally get visitors. There is something about this time of year that just makes the world a better place. I personally look forward to this time every year because I get to see the family that I love so much. I am reminded of the love that surrounds me everyday of the year and I am grateful, so grateful. I can only hope that everyone gets to feel that kind of love at least once in their lives.
This year, and for the past 7 years, my husband and I have put up our Charlie Brown Christmas tree. I will never get rid of it. I bought this tree the year we got married, and I was SO proud of it! Every year that I pull it out of the plastic bag that it lives in, I say to myself, "we could really use a new tree." After we turn on the christmas music, get out the tinsel, and laugh at Claire for putting 5 ornaments on the same branch, I am quickly reminded of the reason that I want to keep the little, broken down tree. This tree has logged a lot of hours with us. We have had 3 babies, bought a house, built an amazing business, and had SO many other changes throughout the life of this simple tree.
It's really refreshing to know that no matter how many things change in our lives, or how many countless hours we work from January to November, we can count on that Christmas Magic every year in December. We can look around us and physically see it. It's the most wonderful time of year.
There is good in everything and everyone. We only have to look through those Christmas Magic glasses to find the goodness that exists, all year round. Merry Christmas Everyone!
~Wishing you lots of love this Christmas Season.

Elise.
Beautiful Baby Elise has stolen my heart. She was SO wonderful during her shoot! Her sleepiness made my job so easy. She is gorgeous, and I enjoyed every minute with her sweet little squishiness. The only part that Elise wasn't too keen on, was the santa hat. I just had to through that one in there because it makes me laugh every time I see it! She wasn't having it. It was literally the only time she cried! Poor baby...no santa hats for her, I guess. Even though she didn't like the hat, she will surely be the focus of the holiday. Christmas presents don't get any better than this! Congrats to the lucky parents, and thank you for bringing her by to see me. =)

Sweet little Savannah.
Savannah wasn't sure about a photo shoot. She really likes her momma right now and being too far away from her just isn't on her priority list. Even though we took miss Savannah out of her comfort zone for a little while, she did wonderfully, and even started to enjoy "exploring" on her own. I couldn't help but post one of her "mommy moments" though, that montage is something that EVERY momma out there should have for themselves. I just LOVE it! Enjoy the images. =)

Ella. 3 Months.
Ella was such a trooper throughout the whole shoot! She loved it when mommy rocked her, and couldn't help but smile. I think we may have worn her out though, because towards the end of the shoot, she just couldn't keep those eyes open. =) Oh how I love those little sleepy moments. Precious. Thanks to mom for bringing her in. She is gorgeous, and I am honored to have been chosen to capture her beauty. Thank you.

Henry. 2 years.
Henry, Henry, Henry. This little guy has been coming to see me since he was a newborn. I just love him so much. He is such a sweetheart, and I always enjoy see him, mommy, & daddy. We have had some good sessions over the past couple years, but I just LOVE these train images. Can't wait to show the family all of them! Enjoy the preview. =)

The Drebes Family...AND, Jacob is 3!!
I love kids!!! I really do. They are so fun to photograph. The difference between kids and adults is that kids really don't care about a camera being in their way. They will just be themselves! It's awesome. Real life moments...that's what you get from kids, and Jacob was no different. We had a great time. He was a good little boy and even got a sucker for his efforts. Great job, buddy. Come back and see us anytime. Oh, and, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Kasey and Tim. 11.12.11
It is rare to find a good friend. I don't mean someone to hang with or to enjoy the occasional meal together; I mean the kind of friend that literally picks you up when you have fallen down. I have 5 of those friends. Kasey is one of them. She is my buddy, my confidant, my sister. She has (on many occasions) been the person that I call when my heart hurts or when life just isn't right. She has been there from the very beginning and I don't even remember what life was like without her. I love her. I truly love her.
And now for Timmy boy, oh sheesh...what do I even say. I used to think he was just a cool guy. I enjoyed being around him. He even kind of reminded me of my second dad, Roger Recap. But now, he is the one my kids call "Uncle Tim". He's that guy...and I love it. They adore him (and for good reason). He is the guy that finishes our family circle, and we are so incredibly grateful that he is a part of this crazy bunch for the rest of eternity. (That's right, buddy, ETERNITY! -- A little scarier when I put it that way, huh?!)
This perfect couple tied the knot on 11.12.11, and I was there to capture their day, both through the camera, and in experience. I was lucky enough to have been chosen a bridesmaid, and I loved every minute of it. It was quite the honor. Love doesn't get much better than this, and I am so incredibly happy for both of them!
Congrats Mr. & Mrs. Clingingsmith. We are all so proud of both of you. Love you both.
Emily and John. 10.22.11
Emily and John were married on Oct. 22nd, and we were lucky enough to be a part of it all. Emily and I used to do gymnastics together over 15 years ago!! Neither one of us knew that prior to our first meeting, but we soon realized that we were old friends. It was wonderful to be a part of their beautiful day.
The Quincy Country Club does an exquisite job of hosting. The venue was beautiful and the food was marvelous!
Thank you to Emily and John for allowing us to be a part of sharing in your love. We are so honored to call you friends. Hope you enjoy the preview!
